Hello...I'm trying to figure out why my phone Galaxy S3, model SCH1535 did not have the "more services" preinstalled app/
Icon that I have heard several people talk about & have seen in tutorials  on You Tube Crying I understand that it links you to other apps/ services that r considered great supplements/ additions to the phone....specifically I am interested in the "photo editor" that is best/ recommended...I've looked in the app draw & it's not there....I've also tried samsung website and find that it is not user friendly and cannot see how to just look for these recommended "more services" directly from there....please help  Embarrased

Do you have a Samsung Account? if not go to  Settings > Accounts and Sync > Add account tap Samsung account and register/create and you should get the extra icon in your app drawer.

(At least I assume that's how you get the missing app, as I can't think of anything else that would explain it's absence)

Hello & thanks for responding!  Yup I have a Samsung account...even just double checked using the
Steps u suggested...all I see is general account & syncing choices...no app or more services icon in app drawer . I'm starting to wonder if my phone is bootleg or something. :0 please let me know if u have any other suggestions...your help is appreciated...I'm wondering if it was on there & got erased somehow or something...but then again...even if erased from one of the screens...it should be in the app drawer!

Do you have a Samsung Apps icon in the app drawer? The 'More Services' is a category within in that app but is also added to the app drawer in it's own right in stock (unbranded) Handsets.

I think the Verizon version doesn't have the Samsung Apps store.

That would explain why it isn't there, thanks,

Why are Verizon so restrictive?

Why are Verizon so restrictive?

because since they have the biggest network and largest customer base in the USA, they feel they can do whatever they want and still brag that they have all those customers. They restrict customer so much that if more people were knowledgeable on this, they would leave bid red... so far that I am aware, Verizon decided to remove the WiFi switch from the notification 'quick access' menu, they are the only carrier with the locked bootloader (if you want an unlocked bootloader, you need to pay full price for the phone which comes with no warranties) and they restricted samsung's app store.

In my opinion, they are a bunch of bullies!
