This is a quick tip that will give you a visually faster and smoother SGS3.

From the home screen press Menu > Settings > Developer options > Window animation scale and Transition animation scale

Now change both to 0.5x or set it to off. This helps more the US versions since they are using the dual-core instead of the quad core processor.

I would have to say yes... Currently the quad core version is more fluid than the dual core. however, the visual transitions are actually faster in the dual core... I'm guessing by doing this, you will have the fluidity and the speed in the transitions...

if it sucks sweaty balls, you can always put it back how it was and no harm done.

To be honest, every smartphone I've had I turn off the animations on the first day, I prefer to press/tap a button and the task start instantly and not have to endure what I would call eye-candy which serves no real purpose in the operation of the phone.
