hi guys i dont know if im the only one experiencing the fast battery drain on galaxy s3. i left house at 0830 100% battery then after 2 hours it goes down to 80% like 10 %/ hour battery drain and most of the time the phone is at sleep.

here is my screen shot. Im planning to bring it back to my carrier and let them check. If someone can help. Im thinking maybe its the firmware.

THanks

Do you have Power Saving turned on in the drop down menu?

Also, have you got things like GPS and Bluetooth turned on?

Well I use my phone usually in wifi but for 2 hours of the day i'm outside wifi and need to access large files on 3G.

I don't make a lot of calls. Or send a lot of messages. I generally play music and video, and use the internet.

My battery is about 30% after a 14-16 hr stint without charging.

I'm with Meteor. I updated to latest firmware via kies the other day, but that hasn't affected the battery life, it was fine before, and it's fine now.

I don't know what to suggest. On my S1 I was charging every half day (at lunch time) and if I didn't charge then I didn't have the phone for the evening, basically.

The S3 conquered this problem for me. Can't wait until they can make a battery that lasts a week/month/year etc. lol Big Smile

The problem is, phones are getting slimmer and using more features which means it needs more power, however you can currently only get so much power from such a small battery. Consider holding out and buying an extended battery. I have a 3500mAh on my S2 and that lasts fantastically, will be doing the same to the S3 when one becomes available.
