Ok belay that request.  I found out the issue was with her imessage settings.  Fyi if anyone else sees this issue just remember to check the other iPhone, if possible, and make sure  it's not set to only accept imessages.

So, how exactly did you fix this problem. I am having the same issue with my new Galaxy and my fiance's iPhone. It seems to only send texts to me if I turn off iMessages completely on her phone.

I was able to fix this.

For anyone else that has the issue, here are the steps that worked for me.

First go here and unregister your iphone.

Then log into ICloud (https://www.icloud.com/) and delete you iphone from the find my phone app.

Then I waited about 10 minutes and things started working fine.

Alternatively get her to download and use Whatsapp when sending messages.

iMessages is an iPhone only app, and thus will only work with iPhones and cannot send to any other phone, unlike Whatsapp which does the exact same thing, i.e. send text like messages, but via your data just like iMessages. The difference is there is an app for each platform, thus can send the messages to people with Androids, Blackberries, WinMos and iPhones.

Not unusual - its an app thing - you have to have the necessary app to receive it, just like WhatsApp and the other variety of data messengers. Only difference is they tend to be multi-platform. As usual iPhone only wants to play with itself. Wink Wink
