Hi.
I love my S3 and I really have no big complaints. I have had problems saving pictures that I have received in messages. My daughter has an iPhone and sends me a picture of my new granddaughter almost every morning. It's funny because if she includes text with the picture when I hit the menu button it allows me to "save attachment". Most of the time she just sends a picture via mms message. I select the picture and press on the menu button and the ony selection it gives me is to use the picture as wallpaper. I've been just doing a screenshot in order to save the picture.  Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance.

Don't know for sure because I literally NEVER send images through picture messages, however there's a chance that they're automatically saving to your gallery (this is what it does with Whatsapp). have a look in your gallery, see if there's a folder containing received files or something similar.

Otherwise I'd say to just install whatsapp, get your daughter to do the same, and send images using that instead. It's a much easier system anyway.

Did you ever figure this out?

If you didn't just long press on the message while in the message thread view and a box will come up and hit the save attachment button.  One thing I am having a problem with is that when the next box comes up the file name is the same for each picture so I have been rewriting over each picture when I save another.  There has to be a way to have a different file name without manually changing it.

If you figured out something please let me know cause I save a lot of photos by text.

Thanks, I just figured it out. I had done it before but forgot  how to do it again.  Thanks again for the reply.
