Hi..am hoping someone is able to help me.

For no apparent reason, since two days ago I keep getting a message that there is a connection error. I do receive mails but with no contents.

The Gmail app continues to work fine (the one with the icon that looks like an M coming out of an envelope).
The issue is with the email app on the phone (the one with the icon that looks like an @ in a stamp.)

I've cleared the mail cache and deleted & re-added the said account.

Please help.  Crying

same problem here. it has been a week.
not sure was it related to the new update. but how come only gmail. the rest is ok.
I have not tried one thing that is deleting and setting it up again. shall try that when I have time to kill.

Yes, I have this error also, just took my delivery of S3 and get Connection Error on my main email.

Strange thing is my HTC Sensation running with ICS4 works perfectly so error is down to S3 or the app they are using. I am going off now to find a different mail app to see if that works

Ok,

I have downloaded K9 Email App and run that and it works perfectly  Smile

No more "Connection Errors" !!!

Obviously a fault with the Mail App Supplied by Samsung

K9 is much better than the stock app or even the Gmail one, I've been using K9 for years  Big Grin

I have similar problem; I have three accounts, one Gmail, one Google apps for domain, and a third one, all using imap.

No problems until the beginning of September (actually Ithink I noticed the error appearing begore a few times, but eventually everything got synced...).

I only have the problem with the Google domain account now -which is a work email, and has to work...

Anyone has a solution for the default email (@) application? Isee several people have been experiencing a problem since August / also browsing some other forums. I epuld not want to install K9 app, though - but if no solution will be available soon I guess I will have to Happy

So if u are aware how to tacle this issue, please share.
