Hi! We replaced our cracked screen and lcd with a Samsung LCD and screen bought on ebay. Put everything back together and it looked beautiful, everything worked. However the battery started draining quicker than usual. Thinking I was on 'borrowed time' I plugged it into the charger and tried to transfer several videos to my computer via WiFi. Well - the phone got really warm - both front and back were warm to touch, so I unplugged everything and turned it off to cool down.
When I started it up again I made sure all uploads and app uploads (which I discovered had also been running in the background) were turned off.  I have had intermittent black screen with flashes of light appearing when the logo should be displayed turning it on or off - or it works with the screen images washed out and when I can see this everything works fine.

Today I backed it up via usb to my computer, was able to upload all of my pictures and videos to my computer. Searching the internet some people have had luck with a 'factory reset' for black screens.

I own this phone, no warranty - any ideas or direction to test would be greatly appreciated. I miss my phone - I miss texting...and I still have yet to use all of this phone's capability. Thanks
Best Screen Protector
