I am getting this feeling that my phone overheats quiet frequently. I can't pin point the reason why hence why I download a battery temp. app which gives me the heat of 42 Celsius degrees when I feel the overheat.

Is there any particular "Default" option that I should keep off? I don't use 3G but I hear that keeping Wireless on can be problematic.

Any tips? I am thinking of taking it to customer support but I wanted to get an opinion before doing that.

I have wifi on constantly and never turn it off. I go by the same rules as with the s2, i keep the brightness down which seems to help keep the phone cool. Maybe try that? I'd personally be contacting customer support with my worries.  Angel

I am going to try that. I just noticed something as well: As I was charging it, the phone itself got excessively hot, around 44 Celsius degrees. I know that's usually normal for a charging for but it felt way too hot.

Sometimes its the case. I dont know if you bought a certain case for your cell, or even have one, but there are some out there that cause the phones to overheat.

Did you turn off the built-in toaster app?
