Hi
I'm a smartphone newbie and now have a samsung s3.
I really want to be able to send a short video I have taken 30-50sec to someone by email - how can I do this??
Also thought I could send photos via txt messaging tried it out have no trouble sending to another android but wont send to iphone and it looks like an iphone cant send a photo that I can see to me - this really sucks as one of the main reason I brought this phone!
What am I doing so wrong?

Thanks any help appreciated.

I just tried it and it worked okay here, I created a very short video, opened the email app, clicked on the paper clip icon at the top selected video, browsed to the clip and tapped on it, that attached it to the new mail, added the recipients address and tapped send and off it went.

If yours is not doing that I would check your settings to make sure that they are correct.

I can't help with the iPhone problem though. I don't have access to one to check settings and test send etc.

Just had a quick look on Google and it would point that this is a carrier limitation, check with them to see what they say their limit is - if any, If they don't limit the size of attachments then ask them what might be stopping yours going through.

Sorry I couldn't help more, good luck

Will do thanks for that Smile

The problem with not being able to send a photo via messaging is solved it turned out I couldn't send or received photos from anyone not just iphone, under mobile setting I had packet data unticked - Yay one problem solved.

Thanks so very much for taking the time to help me find answers I really appreciate it. I have been thinking I would of been better getting an iphone as that is what everyone around me uses and they could of helped me get things sorted, but now slowly with the help of this forum I am finding answers. I have spent hours searching through here and so appreciate the information found   Laugh

Yeah that might very well be the problem, with a file that size I would upload it to dropbox or other cloud based service and then email the link.
