The amount of websites relying solely on flash is diminishing, it might take a while for them all to become compliant but I think the most popular ones will not take too long.

Samsungupdates have just posted this on their facebook page:

“In the case that a new version of an Android operating system is publicly announced and released, Samsung will review the possibility of implementation to existing Samsung products with the Android operating system (“Update”). Such a review will be based on various factors including, the overall effect of the update to Samsung products, the system requirements, the structural limitations, and the level of cooperation from the component suppliers and the software licensors. If Samsung decides to make the update available to the users it will be released upon successful completion of development.”

So, it could take awhile if we even do get it (at least through official means) no doubt the devs on xda will have it released in no time at all  Sticking out tongue

If you have clicked the link in my post above you'll see I had a bit of a discussion about it, he's not an Official Samsung chap but I would assume he knows a bit more than your average Joe Public, and saying that, nothing he has said is set in concrete just pretty much assumption really. I can't verify his source of the original statement but have no reason to doubt it's validity.

So you've bought the latest moat up to date phone, to leave it to be outdated straight away? New one lol.

You can easily undo an update if it's not what you wanted.
Not sure if that is a true statement? When they upgraded my Samsung 1 they would not let me roll it back even though they had to send my phone back 4 times...

Maybe not officially but you can reflash an earlier Firmware or the one that came with the device.

Translation: If we decide to update to Jelly Bean, it will be ready when it's done.

I'm not seeing any specific commitment there aside from "we'll look at it".

I work at a sprint store that does service and repair... and if it's anything like ICS on the S2... I'll pass.  After updating the S2 it is SOOOOOO buggy.   Shocked
