Haven't heard of such an app. Was it in your app drawer or did you find it via app manager - if so how was it listed i.e. app exchange or google.com.app.exchage? will give me a better idea where to look for it.

The only issue where I have battery drain while on JB is in regards to the location services which is a known issue.

I believe it's for the exchange services for things like corporate emails, etc. Like Microsoft exchange. I could be wrong. Do you have a corporate account setup on your phone? Without doing any research, I would think that it would be related to the constant syncing and pulling data from the exchange server.

If you have an exchange account set up and its set up as IMAP its entirely possible you could see heavy usage on it, especially if its a very busy account. In which case you might want to consider changing its sync pattern (as it doesn't run off the auto-sync settings or button) - it ignores the sync options using peak and off peak syncing hours which you have to set for the account.
